I still can't find this performance chart but are you running vCenter or stand alone ESXi servers?

Are you looking at the performance charts on a host or VM and what performance counters do you have selected?

@Tim, do you want to add your comment as an answer so I can accept it (it was the key piece I didn't think about doing). I'll put more information in for people who are curious in my own answer. :-)

That will work just fine for what I'm planning.

Thanks for the answer, 2 seems like a lot of work if I have more than a few domains but would be a quick fix. Where would I put the mod_rewrite section in #1? Would that go just before my VirtualDocumentRoot directive?

@ShaneMadden good point I did forget to write that. :-) Imply www if it's missing.

Is the log file delimited in some way (tab, csv, etc.)?

comment Run more than one Hypervisor
I think you would be better off asking for money for an extra server to run ESXi on. Before we were really on board with a bare metal hypervisors we ran a couple servers on VMware Server and it was a nightmare. I'm betting your time is worth more than a new server. :-)

@Robert, do you want to add that as an answer so I can accept it? Do you know if the user of the computer would get an error message when this happens? The network these computers are plugged into has had multiple problems so I can see it happening. :-)

comment Strange VMWare networking issue
Have you tried rebooting the CAS server while it's on the second host? VMware sends a reverse ARP when it vmotions a VM and it's possible that your switch thinks it's still on the first host.

comment How to deploy vmview from a single esx server
Hypervisor (VMware product) is a type 1 hypervisor (generic term) so it runs on the "bare metal" in lieu of an OS so if you already have an OS installed it will have to be reinstalled or converted to a VM. It's a good use of a large VM hosts because it can better manage the memory, network access, and CPU and you don't have to worry about the Host OS crashing. VMware Player is used for running VMs inside another OS and if I remember correctly, (I haven't used it) it doesn't allow you to create a new VM or edit them once they are created.

comment MySQL Replication, Master vs Slave commits
You can use mysqldump to make the backups and then restore them with the mysql command. I would actually recommend setting up a dev environment for each developer on their local computer and then have a shared test/QA environment. That way they can mess up their own data without affecting everyone else. :-)

comment How are system admins deploying software across a network for OSX?
If you have the package already ARD is your best bet but if you're going to develop them from scratch, I'm a big supporter of Radmind.
