So you can telnet localhost 2082 but you can't telnet myser.com 2082? Do you have iptables or another firewall running?

Can you connect to port 2082 or 2083 from the outside? If you can connect to 2082 using telnet, what happens when you send GET / HTTP/1.0?

comment How can I setup PCI passthrough for my HighPoint 1144A USB 3.0 card under ESXi 5.1?
@ewwhite Sadly the newest version of ESXi still doesn't work. I saw screen captures others posted of this card in VMware ESXi and it shows as 4 USB controllers where mine only shows as 1. I am about to give up on this and just use USB2 for backup.

We are running Mac OS X in a VM. We did this for budget reasons, we couldn't afford two servers, and the USB3.0 drives are from an earlier system which I am trying to gain access to. Also, one reason to use them: Offsite backups.

Care to explain @wfaulk? I seriously do believe that USB 3.0 support to a VM isn't that unreasonable of an expectation!

Yes, what I am trying to do is run a ZFS machine with access to USB 3.0 devices...

Ah, yeah, as far as I know cPanel requires a public IP assigned to the server. You might be able to make it work otherwise but I don't believe that's supported. Ultimately where you're trying to get to is port 2083 of the server, so maybe you just need to change your router/VPN/firewall/port forward/whatever setup.

comment CPanel installation on Azure CentOS, gcc install fails
Is this a brand new CentOS install? I just did a cPanel install the other day; I installed the minimal CentOS system, did yum install perl, and then was able to install cPanel. Seems like you have a CentOS installation to me...
