Thank you Peter for sharing your thoughts. It looks better than I thought. Which solution would you advise stacked filesystem (eCryptfs, EncFS) or a block device encryption (loop-AES, dm-crypt or even TrueCrypt)?

I never said that the PCs were in AD domain, did I. Thanks to comment of Jure1873 - indeed nmap did the job. If he would put it no as comment he will got my "accepted answer". And talking about "pork chops" - why should I kill a fly with a gun? ;-)

Nothing? df strange algorithm? That's my question/problem. If I try to find the usage out with du it's quite reasonable. But, of course, du needs quite a time to list 2Tb.
