comment Configure gateway for two NICs through static routeing
I tried that particular command and the one @AlanCurry suggested however neither in combination or alone did they work. As for multiple routes I was under the impression the linux kernel began support for that several years ago. link

@AlanCurry Yes I realize when the routing table is empty I will get no connections because the system does not know where to send the data. I am looking for the best way to configure my static routes to include those connections.

comment SSH Pipe File and Execute
Yeah its strange the problem only occures when I pipe the binary in. If I use wget for instance it is able to execute with no problems.

It works when I execute /bin/ls. I am at a loss why it won't work for my own binary on the first try, but still work on the second.

No verbose is verifying the file exists after the transfer. LS confirms that the proper permissions are set as well. Executing ssh user@host './exec' still results in the expected results after the initial transfer aswell.

comment Linux Transparent Bridge for Network
This didn't work any ideas why something like: iptables -A INPUT -i eth0 -p TCP --dport 80 -j DROP wouldn't work either?

I understand what your saying, this is really just a personal project. My goal is to basically build a tap from scratch with nothing but old hardware and a Linux disc. My end result is a system that I can toss anywhere with a little config and get a general idea of the traffic entering/exiting the system along with any intrusions as well.
