comment Are bare steel floor tiles suitable for a server room?
@HopelessN00b. 4 inches is a normal standard for underfloor office wiring - and in a DC with overhead cooling, it shouldn't really present an issue.

comment Extremely slow response when connecting to remote MySQL database (LAMP Server)
It still needs to resolve DNS regardless of whether you have set that flag or not. Given its over commodity ADSL connections - its not much of a surprise that its slow.

Can the remote MySQL server resolve DNS? What is the last mile connectivity on each server,

comment How can I debug nginx further than the error log?
You could start by updating Nginx to the latest version. Albeit, I'm not aware of such a bug in 1.2.3

comment Should I choose my hosting company's mail server, or make my own mail server on my Cloud server? (for security)
What do you think Google Apps is? Its still a shared email service. This is a shopping question and thus, not really suitable for SF.

comment How does an ISP find a server using it's IP address?
@Brandon - the same way your local network does. It tries its own routed subnets, failing that, passes upstream to its gateway. Until it gets to an ASN, at which point it will look at its route table (of the entire internet) and pick the most appropriate route to the router responsible for the next hop.

Is the machine serving the response a teapot? If so Header 418 might be more appropriate.

comment Does forwarding a DNS to another server takes any resources?
Well, if they're happy to pay for your bandwidth and have a slower, more unreliable site - then keep at it.

Why do you not want to forward the DNS entries?

Be sure to add -v -n as well if you want them all (chains, nats etc.)

comment Route outbound connections from local network through VPN
Typically on a Linux machine (acting as B) - you would enable ipv4.forwarding and provide an associated MASQUERADE rule on IPTables to route between C and A. I'm not exactly sure how this is handled on Android, but I'd assume this is the issue.
