Really good point. MysqlTuner reports that I'm using very few joins without indexes. The MySQL query cache hit rate (according to innotop) is 66% with a KCacheHit(??) of 98%

Good question -- the two databases in total are around 100MB, with the largest tables having around ~100K rows

top is incredibly useful, thanks! No major memory usage, though. MySQL occassionally pops up to the top with 1% CPU usage. Only half of memory in total is used. Traceroute was very fast (59ms on average) whereas page loads are taking in excess of 7 - 10 seconds.
