@CoreyOgburn yes, its the wallet and the passphrase is very sensitive as anyone knowing it has the ability to access my funds. its not comparable to worker passwords.

Thanks for not being helpful at all. This is a long discussed security issue, still unsolved and I need a better workaround than rm -f now.

@MadHatter it throws an error. there is no other way to pass the password to the daemon.
