comment NFS local user mapping works, but not with sudo
You could use tar to preserve file ownership and other metadata and copy or pipe the tarfile to a process running as an ordinary user to store it on the NFS server.

comment NFS Caching Issue

Since Linux NFS client has close-to-open cache consistency you need to make sure that the files are closed and reopened by the webserver as soon as the deployment is complete.

comment NFS Caching Issue
What happens when you manually open a newly deployed file on a web server before clearing the NFS caches? Do you see the old or updated version. How do you deploy, @rsync@ or anything else? What are the mount options? AFAIK it is not supposed to behave like that.

Could you add more details of your setup by editing your question? What kind of switches do you have, what kind of cabling, what sort of hosts and HCAs, how do you check if the fabric is continuous?

Welcome to serverfault.com! This sounds like a shell scripting problem to me.
