Little did I know when I started out developing in Rockhampton, Australia, in 1999 that I'd end up in London in 2011; or that I'd be a very active PHP application developer with a super-infectious attitude for the craft. I had no idea that I'd start building maltblue.com either. But I learned a lot along the way as I travelled from Rockhampton, to Gladstone, then on to Sydney, Brisbane and eventually London, via Prague.
Along the way, I learned that great developers from across the world, irrespective of where they come from or their technology passions often share one singular goal and that's to constantly learn and grow and that their development is not a job, but a true craft - a lot like crafts-people from every walk of life. So I took that on as my personal motto and it's helping me re-shape my attitude to development and life in general.
When I'm not developing or writing tech articles, whether on problogger.net, phparch.com or other fantastic publications, I enjoy spending time with good friends, drinking great wine and continually seeing more of the world. There truly is so much to see, explore and discover for yourself.
