DNS and Windows Server for the First Time ns1 and ns2 are owned by me, they are what I'm using in the DNS service I have setup on this windows machine. (I have the DNS role and IIS role setup on the same machine). |

DNS and Windows Server for the First Time ya I don't control ds.chicagobluesnetwork.com, I do control ns1 and ns2 which should point to 209.50.238.234 and 209.50.238.235, so I need to have them make sure that ns1 and ns2 are in their records (ds)? or do I need to reconfigure my DNS setup on the server? |

DNS and Windows Server for the First Time So I guess I'm confused why it isn't loading after 24 hours. My site is chicagobluesnetwork.com ns1.chicagobluesnetwork.com and ns2.chicagobluesnetwork.com. I'll leave the A record alone for now because with an external IP it should still forward correctly and I can try localhost once it starts working |

DNS and Windows Server for the First Time I registered the custom dns through their site to point to my public IP, so that may have been all I needed for that, so I guess I'm confused if that would be the authoritative name server or if the DNS I setup on the windows machine would be it. The DNS service and IIS are on the same machine so should I set the a records to localhost? The exception is also set in windows firewall |
