I come from a CAD background where I mainly use Autodesk Inventor. From 2008 to the first part of 2010 I took a few evening courses at my local community college to learn programming and, in particular, the C# language. My main goal was to develop comprehensive add-ins to the CAD application that I used on a regular basis (Autodesk Inventor), but I have found that I have fallen in love with developing and am now looking to permanently make a career change (easier said than done when you have a wife, two kids, and are well entrenched in the career you currently are in). I am an obsessive problem solver which is why I think I love programming. My mantra is:
