comment Installing Ubuntu guest crashes Hyper-V host
Definitely a bug, we've got Solaris, among other unsupported OS's running in Hyper-V and I've never seen an issue like this myself.

The above answer by @Brennan is exactly what I would recommend.

What he's saying is that those are Ethernet adapters, what you need are FC HBAs to be able to use that switch. The cards you mention just use optical interconnects, and are not true fiber channel.

comment Does Hyper-V support GPT disks on the host?
I will also confirm this, as I have 2 Hyper-V deployments using nothing but GPT disks for storage.

Yes, raid 10. You want the mirroring and speed.

I do not believe what you're asking for is possible.

comment Dell Poweredge 1950 with Perc 5i keeps losing raid config -> “Foreign Configuration Found”
Agreed, those are good first steps. Odd that it gives you that error. If the raid card is dying in some way (card failure, battery, etc), the config should still be on the disk. I would expect that you would get a message about a config mismatch instead.

comment IIS Host Header Bindings not working correctly
Sounds like a configuration issue. Can you list out what your redirect rule is, and exactly how you're doing it. URL Rewrite, etc?

comment exchange 2010 HA questions
Well, I haven't seen any "guides" per se. Any yes most talk is about larger installations, but I'd say it's safe to assume you can do everything on one server. I'd personally recommend keeping your actual Exchange infrastructure privately addressed and add a TMG server or something like it to be a reverse proxy for you. A service like that has a whole host of benefits to it.
