Force LUN in a HP Smart Array to rebuild I ended up replacing the disk that we just replaced and went to Predictive Failure status and the other one in the same condition. We had to reinstall this box at the end. But other server with a failed and a Predictive Failure, we replaced the failed one and it went to OK and the LUN was Ready for Rebuild. We rebooted and the server recovered without any further problems. |

How do i fsck / on solaris 10? OBP is present only in SPARC machines. I would use boot -s to boot in single user mode and then fsck the filesystem. Is there a difference? |

Display recent login failures on login I use Fedora Linux and in my /etc/profile file, there is a loop that runs everything in the /etc/profile.d directory. You should check if your /etc/profile will process everything in this directory, otherwise you will have to declare directly in the file. |
