comment Restrict varnish purge requests to wordpress logged in users
If the plugin is sending the purge requests, then only the local server's IP addresses need to be listed! Users shouldn't need to manually send purge requests with curl at all.

comment Configure Squid Proxy Server to use TCP for DNS lookups?
@paxos1977 Of course it's not my concern. It's your concern! I asked solely in order to understand your situation better in hopes of finding a better answer for you. If you don't want to explain, then you certainly are not obligated to do so. But you're unlikely to get a good solution without doing so.

The one you just posted loaded successfully. You need to find one that doesn't load successfully.

comment Nginx config - forbidden files and page not rendering properly
The message you posted was from a successful load. It's useless. You need to determine what resources are not loading, and look for errors related to those.

OK, then please try loading up an actual resource which is failing to load, noting the error, and pasting the corresponding error log entry.

No, I'm not referring to that bit. I'm referring to the bit where you explicitly state in English that you are trying to load a directory and getting the error that you pasted. This is not normal; usually you would be trying to access specific files in those directories, such as your CSS and JavaScript.

If it is writable by the user, and www-data, and nobody else, what is the problem?

Are you actually trying to get generated directory indexes for your static resource directories? Somehow I don't think that's what you really want.

comment How to create a SSL certificate using SSL certificate text?
If you're trying to install a certificate to IIS, then just go back to StartSSL web site and use the Tool Box Create PKCS#12 file option to get your certificate.

The private key is wherever you stored it, when you made the certificate request.

There are no specific numbers. Every site is different. Though you would do well to get rid of cPanel.

Create an API, and then use it.
