Poor HP Procurve 2848 port performance The issue is now SOLVED: the lack of per port buffer memory leaded to packet drop and TCP session reestablishing, which on high-RTT connections caused the TCP Windows Scaling to reset. Enabling Flow Control on both sides fixed the issue. |

Areca 1880ix RAID hangs After deep investigation I finally resolved the issue with Areca hanging. The actual problem was NOT in Areca, but in software used (thanks to Chida's comment). I was using Infiniband with SRP protocol, which is provided by SCST driver. The issue was in that SCST driver - with having high load it did SCSI bus reset, which turned out to be the reason of Areca's firmware hanging. After migrating from SCST to simple iSCSI (IPoIB) the problem disappeared. |

Page allocation failures on iSCSI storage About your questions: 1. The performance is fine. We had SRP instead of IPoIB + iSCSI, but the SCST driver hang on high load causing a SCSI reset. 2. The bug is reproducible: it appeared on every high load (writes). 3. ext3 and ntfs for Windows. |

Page allocation failures on iSCSI storage Thank you! After googling I found that I'm getting these errors because of bug in rhel 6.2 and above: bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=770545. After sysctl -w vm.zone_reclaim_mode=1 errors seem to disappear. |
