what is the instance type? Did you create a separate EBS volume and attach it?

comment PCI scan failure for SSL Certificate with Wrong Hostname?
It it much easier for you to go and fix the certificate, perhaps buy a wildcard SSL so that you can use it on many of your servers with the same domain. It's not easy for SecuritMetrics to go and update their tests to make an exception. OTOH, I'd also advice to fix your domain and SSL certificate since it usually comes back and bites in other ways (email clients) and could be a PCIDSS violation in the strictest sense. Imagine your bank send you a certificate for another domain than the one you are on?

Yes if those 62 packages belong to a group, you can do yum remove >group>. What are these 62 packages?

Ouch :) It's not really that complex. It's ideal this is moved to a chat or even better the OP improves the question with ALL the details. Moderators, it's your call.

Can you delete the contents of remote /backups directory and re-run the following command? rsync -avvz -i backups/ admin@212.86.7.170:/backups Paste the complete rsync output

comment using rsync through secure ssh in a cron job
This is not a problem with ssh. sftp here won't help in backups. Are you saying subfolders are not rsync'd? or if you delete a file in the local directory, it is not deleted in the destination when you re-run rsync?

The -a flag to rsync also has the recursive option and it will copy it recursively unless there are permission issues. Also, you have to ensure you are running the command from the parent directory of the directory you want rsync'd

Are you sure admin@212.86.7.170:/backups/ exists?
