Not much information to go on. What type of hardware was the datacenter using? Is it your gear? Do you have IPMI? Is Supermicro involved?

The HOSTNAME variable should probably just be "mail". You'd need to restart the network service; service network restart following that. You may also just reboot. Either way. Don't touch any of the localhost/localdomain entries.

@SteveAmerige Don't modify the stripe size from default on the controller. And definitely don't mess with the ext4 options.
