yeh, you're right I guess, the best and simplest solution I came up with was time = 'date +%Y-%m-%d_%H-%M-%S' #10 23 * * * $php $dir/inventory/delete.php >> $logs/delete/delete_$($time).txt

OK, the only warning I have left is postconf: warning: /etc/postfix/main.cf: unused parameter: smtpd_client_restriction=permit_mynetworks,reject_unknown_client,permit Should I remove this line?

Im using SFTP .

It seems to happen when I upload new files to the folder, I did the following so that all file permission in the folder are changed to www-data chown www-data -R xml but this makes no difference for newly uploaded files, is there a fix around this?
