Although I've never had any formal computer science or programming training, I've dabbled in it as a hobby since around 2000 and worked either part-time or full-time in the field since 2003. I started with C/C++, dabbled a bit with Windows and DirectX back when I thought it would be cool to make games, but all my professional experience has been in Java. Recently I have been focusing on strengthening my Computer Science and algorithms skills, and have been learning functional programming in Scheme and, most recently, my new favorite language, Clojure.
