Ben Duguid works in London, UK as Head of Back-end Development for Hugo & Cat, mostly delivering web sites on various Microsoft based platforms.

He has run internal training sessions helping other developers get up to speed in the technologies he knows about, and tries hard to get others to do the same.

For what it's worth he is an MCPD in ASP.NET 3.5, and is currently a Pro-Tem Mod on LEGO Answers

comment Why is IIS 7.5 seeing some requests as HTTP/1.0?
Yes, that's the route I've currently taken, but I'm not sure if there are likely to be other repurcussions.

Sorry David, I've (hopefully) clarified the header captures - the Connection: keep-alive is coming from the browser, you can see the server is sending a Connection: close as part of its response. The request is the same as one to another server which results in an HTTP/1.1 response.

comment Can I create a top level TLD? (.michael for instance)
@Michael Pryor - No, see section 8.7 of the FAQ you linked to: "If I want to register a gTLD solely for my own use, for example, solely for use by my company, partners, consultants, shareholders, auditors, etc., can I limit the issuance of second level domains to those individuals? Can I refuse to accept applications for second level domains from members of the public in general?": Yes. The applicant is responsible for setting the business model and policy for how they will use their gTLD, so long as the registry is in compliance with the terms of the registry agreement.

Yep, and it's because I've been caught out in the past that I remember about it ;)

+1 for Session State comment - however you might want to mention that this has other implications (i.e. the SessionEnd event no longer fires).
