comment Graphics cards in a 1U server?
This actually isn’t a shopping question, it is a simple and valid question. The problem is that it is probably an XY question. I’ve provided an answer to the general question, but ultimately, it is up to you to provide more information for a full solution for your specific situation.

comment Why is the response on localhost so slow?
@all, I have a question for everybody that posted solutions that involve adding or replacing text with 127.0.0.1: does it still work if you access 127.0.0.2, 127.1.2.3, and so on or does hard-coding 127.0.0.1 create an unnecessary restriction?

comment The Job and Monitoring Options of RoboCopy
Hmm, so then it can be used to detect renames and moves. But when it does detect such a change in the tree, does it copy the file to the new name/location and delete it from the old (thus performing unnecessary writes), or can it rename/move it?

comment What can cause a DNS lookup to ignore a hosts file entry?
Hmm, interesting. I knew that they hard-coded MS domains to ignore the HOSTS file, but even the non-MS domain gets ignored if it shares an entry with an MS domain? That’s just poor programming on their part. This is definitely something to look out for if “minifying” a HOSTS file.

comment HOSTS ignored when disconnected
Hmm, I tried flagging it for migration to SuperUser since nobody seems to think it fits here (for some, unexplained reason), but the flag seems to have been ignored. I guess I’ll just have to manually migrate it by copy-pasting it there. ¬_¬

comment How to find memory usage of individual Windows services?
Of course this requires rebooting, or at least restarting the services in question, so it doesn’t help diagnose the current issue since it may not show up again for a while (or at all, especially if part of the reason is due to it being shared).
