I am a software developer focused mainly on Java these days. I used to write a lot of PHP code, made some excursions to Python and some less common languages (e.g. Scheme). For quite some time I've been a Linux user, but recently I moved back to Windows for convenience.
I've always been interested in software engineering, algorithmics and web technologies. The most recent addition to this list is mobile computing.

Connections to SSH and Samba suffer from heavy delay
@benjarrell No, it's only delayed when I open up a connection. Once the connection is up, there are no more problems. But as I wrote...with Samba the delay causes Windows to do a premature timeout and thus it's not usable at all.
