I am an open source developer with an interest in unconventional programming styles and tools. If it stretches the limits of how I think about problems or profoundly challenges the popular consensus on how a solution should be reached, I want to learn it.

Open source work consumes a lot of my time. Tor and Reddit are my favorite open source projects. My Reddit page can be found here. Tor's largest general discussion board, most popular search engine, and most used pastebin are just a few of the services I created (and continue to maintain) for the Tor hidden service community.

Non-technical interests include syndicalist anarchism, exploring nature and abandoned (or forbidden) buildings, and Jiu-Jitsu.

comment Unable to access Apache
Can you access the server from the machine itself? What happens if you do curl localhost on the server?

comment /usr/bin/python (Python 2.4) was deleted on CentOS 5. I compiled from source but yum is still broken. How can I get everything back to the way it was?
@DeerHunter I am not the sysadmin of this machine, I am just an ordinary user. The sysadmin is a friend who lets me use the server to run a site of mine. He deleted Python and now things are bad. My site is actually fine because it doesn't depend on Python. I installed a generic Python 2.4 from source which fixed the Django sites, but yum is still not happy.

What do I match with what? What exactly am I looking for in a CentOS repository? I really have no idea what I am doing with this. I am very desperate. If I go into a CentOS repo and download the RPM's I get the exact same error.

Sorry. I updated my question to reflect my version of CentOS, which is 5.8, so the version isn't the problem.

I do not have the install media. I tried installing the RPM from that link, which has resulted in a strange new problem. I've edited my question to include the new problem.
