The exact phrasing was: "Also, I pulled one of the drives during the early part of the copying procedure and replaced it, just to see how badly a RAID6 rebuild would affect write (and later read) performance for our production scenario." - I couldn't have made it any clearer that I'm a) copying (vs moving) and b) testing for production, not in. edit: and of course I'm using production data for testing - it's the most similar data! |

"Is the MSA60 at a good level?" helped me (somehow I didn't check for the MSA itself at all) - the MSA wasn't available to the controller, but I didn't check for that ... the array is still there. Thanks for bothering. |
