Try taking the trailing slash / off the end of the proxy pass.

comment Low TCP down speed on network interface
What other data is that port carrying? It's poor overall. What does that QoS traffic setting do?

comment Is transparent hugepage support on or off on these CoreOS machines?
@MichaelHampton - you're right. I don't think I need to worry about it. On Bare metal CoreOS it's there actually. The machines above are Amazon instances, it looks like they have already disabled it.

Have you tried using SR-IOV? That way, you can pass the VF device directly through to the guests that need it. I'm not really sure the switch or bridge devices used in esxi support RDMA which is a major performance booster for app's that support it.

comment New dual processor server does not boot
Is this for a server or a workstation? This question might be off topic for serverfault. But it's likely either RAM comparability or the BIOS needs updating to the support the particular CPU you're using. Which you haven't specified.

comment How to escape spaces in systemd unit files?
It seems that spaces are used as a way of separating arguments. And googling this returns some ugly workarounds. Can you change the path? otherwise what about trying a non-space separated symbolic link as the path name which points to the real directory?

Have you tried backslash space ("\ ") like the shell?

comment docker0 bridge status toggles between enabled/disabled, what could be causing that?
I thought it was, but it seems not. But it's interesting behaviour nontheless.
