comment Is ASP.NET debug mode a security risk?
@i-CONICA the question is not about that at all, but rather about how to make the line numbers accessible for any such treatment in the first place. These errors are already logged to the database and never shown in the browser.

comment How to change an EC2 instance's security group
While you cannot change which security group is linked to the instance, you CAN edit the linked security group, and the changes take effect immediately, no need to restart the instance.

comment Any gotchas when using the lowest and highest IP addresses in a small block?
"But for this to work, a larger subnet mask than /30 is required." - you mean like /32 for example, right? Makes sense and seems to be the case at OVH, yeah.

comment BBWC: in theory a good idea but has one ever saved your data?
@MadHatter surely that's easy: the evidence looked for is a story of an array that didn't have battery/flash and suffered data loss on power failure.

This also happens if you get an error message when you first add the binding, but the binding is added nevertheless. This is the error message I got when I was adding the binding.

comment Nginx as reverse proxy causes failure to respond to certain POST requests
It's in front of ASP.NET development server - not IIS. I'm using nginx because there are no native builds of haproxy for Windows that I could find and in general it doesn't seem to be meant to run on Windows, even if it happens to be possible via Cygwin.
