About Me

I can do it all. From web applications, to IBM mainframe systems, all the way back to windows forms. Web development is my passion, and that's where I shine. I am mostly skilled in the front-end, but I write plenty of complex code for the server-side as well. Gotta love it!

Problem is, the developers have grown accustomed to things automatically locking and unlocking when they check-out or undo checkout with VSS. I know we will run into issues with this if you cannot replicate the functionality. +1 for pointing out the "auto-close if no errors" feature of Tortoise. I missed that!

I thought I would come back and mention that I am still going to use the rewrite filter, to remove "www" and the default documents (like index.htm and default.aspx) from the incoming URLs.

Ok, I got it figured out. The "Advanced" button allows you to add multiple identities - awesome! I was able to add one for localhost as well for some quick local testing. Thank you very much for your help, I am well on my way now.

Problems. The host can be www.whatever.com or whatever.com, right? So how do I resolve this issue?

I was able to view it here: web-sniffer.net So can you think of any caveats with using the HOST header approach? Thanks again!

Thank you! I can't believe I have never seen this host header before. Is there an easy way I can see the host header that is currently coming in for the existing domain? I just want to see it.
