comment File system preventing execution of files
Thanks, I will try an fsck. It looks like this drive is showing some bad sectors, so wonder if this is related. And I didn't see anything with a tail of /var/log/*

No ACLs present. The same thing happens to unrelated executables.

@Hennes all my other drives don't have exec or noexec (must exec automatically) and they work. This drive doesn't and uses the same config: ext4 users,relatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1

It doesn't appear so. They are the same as my other partitions: ext4 users,relatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1

comment Limit the total memory usage of PHP-FPM
Don't give it 512 processes, then. If you want to have a 2048 limit per process, then only have as much as the machine can handle. aka. 4 processes if the machine has 10gb ram. Using alternate pools sounds appropriate. Using ulimit over the parent process will not be graceful.

comment nginx - deny all *.php requests except index.php for security reasons
Anyone able to give me feedback on the following? While what OP is doing is not too logical, I'd like to know if this would do what he wants: location ~ \.php$ { deny all } location \index.php { proxy_pass whatever }

comment How to trace TIME_WAIT sessions using tcpdump (or similar tool)
netstat -a will show you something. Guess you could try out wireshark. I don't actually see any point in you doing this, however.

comment Multiple public RSA keys on server, sharing same SSH login details
Sorry, that should have been "ssh-add -l" (you can forget about that now). I don't use bitbucket but it sounds like you might need to further configure something in there if it's only prompting you for one key.

So it's asking for a passphrase to your colleagues key when you do a git pull? Can you paste the command and message? Also, is your new key in your agent? "ssh-agent -l" should show that.

comment CentOS won't reboot (shuts down but won't come back up)
Get console output on the server and show us what happens when you issue the shutdown -r now.
