Yes, you are correct. Time jump makes DHCP service thought lease expires, then Win2K8 redo DHCP Disc process.

@StefanLasiewski As I mentioned, my Win2K8 is just a virtual machine, it lasts only a few hours. It's just a part of a testbed. Everyday we deploy thousands of such testbeds, so hard to use static IP.

@MichaelHampton How do you know I'm on 10.04 LTS? Sorry I'm not familiar with Ubuntu. And is there some official document to state that 10.04 LTS doesn't support NFS over IPv6.

@pefu @etherfish Thanks for your explanation. I think I'm closing to the answer. The only thing I'm still confused is that on my server, NFS server name folder is created under /. Is / the default dir that automount will check?
