Also @WesSayeed does your TS download all required software before it starts the TS, or does it have to wait for the network connection after reboot?

That's right, I forgot about that. Unfortunately, I took a new job last year and have been out of the sccm game for quite a while. I'll continue to search for the answer though but I thought the same mechanism that allowed software to install during an OSD before the login screen appeared can be used outside of OSD as well. I suppose you're deployment cannot be done if the machine boots to WinPE, correct?

+1 for the log info, but the issue is that the server cannot copy the files yes, but our working theory is that a client has a write-lock on the DP files somehow. Folder structure isn't too long b/c this particular package had the files already zipped, and the behavior isn't consistent but spotty.
