I didnt say it would need moderator intervention, I'm just saying if I came across it, I wouldn't let it fly, just as I don't now. I've also come across some pretty slick advertising disguised as answers as well.

@peterh I define a troll as someone who's main purpose (on this site) is not to add or contribute anything to help the site, while at the same time attempting either cause tension or just plain spam the site. On SF from what I've seen it's mostly just people spamming the site.

comment SCCM Collection Query- FullName
+1, very maintainable approach, and it helps to have the refresh time in the collection as short as possible so a busy SCCM admin doesn't haven't to go in and update the collection manually everytime a user is added to the security group.

comment SCCM software deployment - does user need to be logged in, or only on the network?
So I got this bat signal to check this answer out, and I'm honored :-). Solid answer. The only things I would add is that there are applications that can be targeted to user collections and not machine collections, so that would obviously require a user logged on. Also, a person on another network logged into the corp. VPN at would (at least in our setup) would get requires SCCM deployments, and like you said kce ICBM is an option, we never got it fully setup

@alx9r after reading you and kce's comments and chatting with kce I just realized I tried to inflict my bias onto you, I apologize. I should probably spend more time working with Applications in SCCM ( as with everything else in SCCM) before writing them off almost completely. I do find the concept intriguing, however, but a major factor that turned me away was that I would have to convert all of my packages to applications manually, and I have a lot since we came from SCCM 2007. There's simply not enough time to do that, and it also doesn't make sense to have my apps split between the two.
