comment SCCM task sequence fails after Apply Operating System - Error 0x80004005
Fairly common error, although the solution escapes me at the moment. The best thing you can do though is find and post your SMSTS.log file into your question, or at least the 20 lines before and after the 0x80004005 error, as those logs can get pretty long. Be sure to sanitize any corp. Information if you need to, as that will become googlable after that.

Darn Skippy, @kce has the best questions this side of the Windows tag too.

+1 for a solid SCCM question and answer. I do hope the SCCM community here grows as it's really the only thing I keep a look out for (email subscription for the tags.) Here, have some extra rep as a motivation to keep 'em comin.

Dude you have the best problems. Unfortunately, I've got nothing this time around.

comment Can WSUS, which is integrated with SCCM, be used as an upstream server for the other replica WSUS server?
haha, I understand you may not want to, but that's MS's process, and it's not a common thing. the best thing you can do is use WSUSUtil w/ Powershell, but that looks like it's the only way.

comment Can I stripe 2 volumes on the operating system drive?
@KonradGajewski are you suggesting R5/6 is more resilient than R1/0/10? Or are you just stating facts? Some of us can't tell from your comment.

comment Silent uninstall of Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update
+1, also I would say that in some cases the exe can be extracted to a bunch of files and folders that may contain an msi as well.

comment How to lock out normal (non-admin) users during software installs?
I have to -1 this, it would work, but if the script is killed in the middle, from some random error or Murphy's Law, then the user can't login and they are dead in the water until IT can respond.
