That was it, thank you very much. I had to delete the connection I had stablished with user3 by using the following command in the windows machine: net use \\server\share /delete, before I could connect with user4

I guessed it had to do with some service still using the file (in this case Samba), I had forgotten about lsof.

That was my first thought but I couldn't find a Fuse service to stop, I restarted Samba instead, problem solved, the file is gone. Thanks.
