Unix / Linux admin, now focused on grid computing and networking. I've recently converted from perl to python for basic scripting and admin tasks, and am still learning every day. Very interested in the django framework for a new side-project, which precipitated the move to python.

Hopefully it helps, but no guarantees :-). Unfortunately, the mouse support with the ILO isn't very good overall, even in Windows.

comment What are .DS_Store files and why does OSX leave them on Windows shares?
Note that this only applies to the .DS_Store files on a network share. It will still create .DS_Store files on the local device.

comment How do I fix scp file transfers between cloned Linux machines?
Can you add the output of scp -v so we can potentially see where it's failing?

comment Is there a command in Cisco IOS to show all routes tagged with a specific tag?
Can you add some sample output with the standard "show ip route" command? Perhaps a properly crafted command with the "include" switch will get what you want.

comment Clone boot drive within Windows
Will Acronis or Ghost create an image file of the boot drive, or an exact copy onto another disk? This is important, since an exact copy to an external drive would allow me to boot from the backup itself, without loading any additional software. (Say, in case the boot drive dies)

Excellent idea. I can see having the complete scp path being very useful. The second line might be improved by adding the time like gms8994 suggested.
