comment Subdomain DNS isn't working
So looks like my setting are: 1. wild card A record to my IP. 2. wild card cname to "www". host. I'm having trouble with both, but I'm only expecting "www" to work because, thats what my IIS binding is.

comment Which one of these SVChost services could be causing problematic intermittent CPU usage,
Perhaps the other question is, maybe this isn't an issue at all. Every 5 seconds that services spikes from 1-2% to 11-25%, but the average CPU from the service is around 3%, so maybe its not an issue?

Damn, it wasn't iphlpsvc, tried disabling it and all the other services from both lists, and no luck. The only service I couldn't shut down was gpsvc, but it looks like I shouldn't shut it down as it could be used by amazon ec2 stuff.

comment What security assurances does a developer running a Windows EC2 hosted Web application need?
Does one just leave the anti-virus running all the time? Doesn't that drain resources
