All the folders listed there as errors are junction points and will need to be excluded for the backup to continue. I'm working on the same problem at the moment and will post my solution if I find one.

Well, I guess your choice would boil down to weather you want to benefit from ZFS features like rollback etc and it's speed. I would recommend attempting to set it up to see how difficult it is. You can always use iSCSI in the end anyway if you find the setup learning curve to steep. Just don't use it for profile storage until you are ready to make the decision.

I have noticed locks are not handled as good as they should be. But that also could be to the basic ldap integration we used between Alfresco and AD. If you try to open a file already in use it does not tell you the name of the user with it open, and every couple of days I have to restart the alfresco-virt daemon to clear the file locks that do not get cleared.
