comment use .htaccess to change the url example.com/mobile to m.example.com
take the php stuff out of the equation for now -- just monitor the mod rewrite logs and you're gonna find out where you fail for sure.

you need to enable rewrite logging to determine where you fail. Error 500 is not related to rewrite rules.

well, this example should redirect the m.example.com, so try enabling some logging httpd.apache.org/docs/current/mod/mod_rewrite.html and check your logs. It will say what the value of HTTP_HOST is while evaluating each request.

comment squid transparent proxy seems to “break” internet connectivity (http - port 80 only)
what about sar, sysstat, dmesg, memory etc. How much memory does squid consume while acting strangely? iostat, iotop, top? Any other weird things in log? does it swap?

are you sure there is no rule above the log line which is rejecting or jumping you to another chain? I think post your iptables config

Have you tried starting the script manually with /sbin/service script start. what says chkconfig --list script. You need to find out weather your script has triggerd but failed or if it has not run. you don't need sudo probably, since root starts the services on the server .

comment Passing arguments with variables in PowerShell to native application
Try building your command like this & "$SVNexe" @("export", "-r") and see where the errors no longer makes sense for what your're trying to do!

comment Passing arguments with variables in PowerShell to native application
Yes, that has to do with the way write-host prints out arrays. To the call operator & what you pass in your powershell script maps to command arguments, so the issue you face relates to how the svn.exe interprets the arguments. What error do you get after trying the solution I suggested?

comment Python's 3.4a LEFOVERS
What OS are you using? How was python3.4 installed and finally how was the old python removed? And you can't use rm like that, because it does not expect files to remove from STDIN.
