comment apache mod_rewrite fails when file by same name exists
@radius: <document_root>/users/new.inc.js exists. Unfortunately I can't enable anything. It took a lot of talking for me to get read access to the config files.

comment How can I block access to my website from certain countries using the LAMP stack?
It is impossible to block access from countries, the internet is not configured that way. You will get many false positives and false negatives.

Don't forget about the /home/* directories if you you have active users

If your connection is abused you will be sucked into the investigation, regardless of encryption.

If you apply some sort of crappy encryption scheme that is broken, you have an even harder time convincing the court that it wasn't you. 'Somebody hacked my computer' is like voodoo for most people, and they do not believe in it if it is more convenient not to. This is a question about the law. In Europe things are quite different from the U.S. (in Europe the still pretend you have some right to privacy)
