Migrate windows xp to windows 2008 server I've heard of 2008 modding, and I can see the case for it on an individual workstation - though web browsing & doing other desktop tasks on a box critical enough to be dubbed 'server' will never be a good idea in my book. |

Share a folder with no authentication request What's the appliance? (or what's its OS?) If you've given everybody full control to both the share and the directory, that's the only avenue left to check. |

Windows Deployment Services without a domain? the highest voted answer to this meta question meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/5280/embrace-the-non-googlers is to downvote the person making the LMGTFY comment, just sayin. (also, tone down the insults, please, it 'does not look good') |

How to deploy office 2010 with proofing tools for multiple languages, without installing language packs? I'd give it a day or two, but if you don't get much, feel free to flag this and we can send it to SO. They might have some extra localization knowhow. |

Different mandatory user profiles for WinXP & Win7 It's half an answer, I was hoping someone would come along with the variable name. I suppose it may not exist, which seems crazy. |

Create Exchange 2003 server side rule without logging in as user Pretty certain this would be a snap in 2007 with powershell, but that's no help whatsoever. Maybe they eventually hired some exchange admins for design? |

What purpose does an SMTP server serve? Why can't email be sent directly from email client to recipient? IMO this is the best email analogy. You don't send snail mail to a person, you send it to an address - then it's up to that address to get the mail directly to the person. Many of the same reasons apply. |
