Tips for remote work? re: office with a door. It must have 4 walls and be devoted solely to work in order to claim it on taxes in the US. Might look into it ahead of time if Canada does anything similar. |

Issues moving an IIS site from w2k to w2k3 Some of that didn't match up, I'll have to suss out whether it's because this is an XP-specific KB or because I'm missing some registry keys. |

When to grant admin rights Other than some help with the inital development image, IT does NOT generally support these VMs. If you bork it, you grab a fresh copy. This makes it easy to combine with the scorched earth policy below. If/when they hose their desktop OS, it doesn't have an impact on their (virtual) development environment. |

How do you recognize a good system administrator? I would call that a good, universal list. Not *nix-centric at all. |

What do you call the main component of a computer system? This is the best option because even the least technical user can (usually) grasp the concept of "box" versus "screen". Most of the other terms will have them poking their monitor in confusion. |

Issues moving an IIS site from w2k to w2k3 Fortunately this is the first app I've moved to this server, though I'll be sure to keep an eye on the app pools for the other two when I add them. |

Issues moving an IIS site from w2k to w2k3 I did NOT realize the component itself had to be restarted! Thanks for that. There were instructions in the documentation for registering the DLLs, so I believe that's covered. |

Copying large file to removable media Ruled out the specific file, awesome. Have any alternative SD cards or drives you can try? |

Issues moving an IIS site from w2k to w2k3 The original server had 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 installed, though I'd thought 2.0 would encompass them all? I'll take a snapshot and install the other 2 to see if it helps. |

Issues moving an IIS site from w2k to w2k3 Yes? ;) I honestly don't know, but if I can check anything to get you that information, I'm happy to do so. I love a puzzle, but I'm going into this one without a ton of prior knowledge to go on. |
