There may be helpful links in the wayback archive for the page: web.archive.org/web/20091022112945/http://www.isometricland.com/…

There's no benefit, only the drawbacks mentioned above.

comment How to fix my freshly installed Exchange server-setup?
It's daunting! Exchange adds a large chunk into AD and makes using the same host name pretty much impossible. There are a few Q's here addressing different exchange & AD aspects serverfault.com/search?q=exchange+AD+schema that might help.

comment How to find the full IP to my PC on work network for RDP
I don't recommend changing your firewall setup at work without a much better understanding. Far too easy to open up holes.

Do you get any results if you use a particular email address instead of the wildcard?

comment PC won't run VB script, error VBScript runtime error ID 800A046
Also check your DC logs to see if there's any issue with the computer account of the problem workstations - removing & re-adding to the domain may be the quickest way to check if this is the issue.

Just to clarify - the problem workstations won't run the script for anybody - admins included?

comment SSH: Do you use one private/public key pair for each remote machine? Or a single pair for all?
@IMTheNachoMan - I've converted your answer to a comment, though the best place for it would be as a comment directly within the answer holding the comment to which you're responding (that got me a bit dizzy). If you have any questions, pop over to meta and ask away. Thanks for the clarification regardless.

Your quickest fix may be to poke around the previously asked questions here ( this one has some great links serverfault.com/questions/178772/… )

comment Is it safe to allot an IP address to a computer, and not running a webserver on it?
Figured I'd leave DMZ out of it, there's a sick amount of information if you pull up that tag. (there I go with the subtle hints)

comment Windows screen recorder that can record long sessions
This version should work on 2003, and I believe works on the same principle - primarily just a series of screenshots technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/… but I haven't used it for anything as long as you're intending.

comment Windows 2008 Server Standard receiving and sending a huge amount of data
I'm not sure this is an answerable question. You might want to pick something specific to ask about - a particular item in the traffic you see in your packet analyzer, perhaps.

comment Migrate windows xp to windows 2008 server
I've heard of 2008 modding, and I can see the case for it on an individual workstation - though web browsing & doing other desktop tasks on a box critical enough to be dubbed 'server' will never be a good idea in my book.

comment Share a folder with no authentication request
What's the appliance? (or what's its OS?) If you've given everybody full control to both the share and the directory, that's the only avenue left to check.
