@LeviXC The newer (within the last year) images on Rackspace don't have swap space allocated. You have to set it up if you want this sort of failure to have some temporary mitigation. In reality, it sounds like you need a beefier image.

You still have to run the swift cluster yourself too. If this is really small, providing a local cache sounds better.

Also, if you decide to do it via the SDKs I would recommend running it from a server on Azure or Rackspace's side (don't make a clientside tool be an intermediary).
