comment Is it possible for Apache to display PHP source code if PHP crashes?
There was a report a few years ago where a Facebook server showed PHP script source. However, the webserver software had not been installed properly, and so the code was not being run by the PHP runtime, hence it was downloaded as plain text. Not a failure of PHP though.

comment Gzip Piped to Rsync
There is an option gzip --rsyncable that makes the output file more rsync friendly (at a tiny increase in size), but it's rarely used.

comment APC minimal shm size
Did you actually put 15 in there, because that would try to allocate 450 megabytes. Try with 2. Also, why do you want so much? I'm running a Wordpress install, and there is less than 20mb in APC for the PHP files to be cached.

comment thttpd: Daemon exiting, I don't know why
An obvious question, but what else (like a cronjob, or log rotation) happens at 6:25?
