comment Add group/user on OpenLDAP
@Daywalker I've now tried several RDN combinations, but none of them work. Running SLAPD manually, I see this error when I try and do ldapsearch: "hdb_dn2id: get failed: DB_NOTFOUND: No matching key/data pair found". Not sure what's going on.

comment Solaris SMF to Upstart on RHEL6
Thanks, that is some useful information. I will just stick with init.d scrips and maybe use something like Puppet or Chef to ensure they are running.

comment Solaris packaging preserve file timestamps
@jiliagre I do a "svn export" of the files before they get packaged, which preserves the file mtime. I would like this to be the timestamp that gets preserved inside the package.

comment Solaris SMF kill service because child dies
It appears this sort of does what I want- however while this option does stop SMF restarting the service when child processes die, it now also ignores signals/coredumps on the primary process. While the primary process is reliable, it also defeats the purpose of using SMF at all if it cant restart the primary process when it dies.
