A once do-it-all developer has turned the corner to focus mainly on user experience, visual design, and user interaction. I'm a very technically adept developer, who has decided to hone in on the visual design/interaction side of web applications, and iOS development.

comment How do I correctly SSH port forward using LiveReload on Redhat?
@micheal-hampton On my myremoteserverIP, the system firewall is turned off. I know that LiveReload is hitting it, because my SSH tunnel will throw that error every time a change is made to my website (trigging LiveReload to make a connection through the SSH tunnel). Is it possible I'm not editing etc/services/ or making the system take the update to that file correctly on my Linux box?

No problem! You got it, that's it exactly. Sorry for the extended back-and-forth.

Ah, I see what you're asking. index.php is in fact physically at the root '/'. However, I don't want it to show in the url anywhere. Regarding the images question, I would not want that path/url rewritten.

Gotcha. I'd like site.com/somepage1 to be site.com/Home/somepage1. And site.com to be site.com/Home.

Updated the question with the full .htaccess rules, and added the apache errors I found. Is there a way to get these two rules working together?

Using your example I get 500 error. Here's my .htaccess file. I think my previous ReWriteRules are not playing nice, is there a way that they can both work? Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{SCRIPT_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule .* index.php [L] #Rewrites so it looks like production RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/Home/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /Home/$1 [L]

In my CCNA course, we watched this. Good simple, and visual explanation of how information flows over the internet.

comment SharePoint 2007: Moving main site, to be a subsite - How can urls be redirected/changed?
Does the application also redirect for WEBDAV? So when someone opens up explorer, and then browses to //oldsiteurl/doclibrary, are they redirected to //newsiteurl/doclibrary ? If not, is there a way to do that?

Does the URL Redirector take into account people programmatically accessing things via WEBDAV (e.g. //mysharepointsite/doclibrary/ --> redirect to new //myNEWsharepointsite/doclibrary/)?
