comment Can Apache conditionally perform a rewrite from a custom http header?
Another example with an IP address in a header passed by SiteLock CDN: RewriteCond %{HTTP:X-Forwarded-For} !=123.45.67.89

The user does not have that option as it is a download link for an image. I've updated the question.

comment Why does my local network transfer speed decrease with larger files?
The router is an old Motorola Netopia 2247-62, and the laptop's plugged directly in to it. I'll try over WiFi though.

comment How is a sender verified with Gmail's 'Send Mail As' feature?
I don't have Gmail in the SPF, but it still passes checks by verifier.port25.com, so I think that there is something else going on.

comment Change default from address from Postfix from www-data to something else
Note you can use BOTH the -f and -F options to set display name and address. For example: -F "Support System" -f "support@example.com"

comment Setting the reply address using the mail command
Thanks! I have a cron job that emails me the output of another program once a day, which I have to check for changes from the previous day. By using your method to manually set headers, I set the In-Reply-To and References headers. This causes Gmail to treat the messages as a conversation thread, which is great because Gmail automatically highlights the changes for me, hiding unchanged text behind "Show quoted text". So now I am using Gmail as a diff tool :) I put this here because I could find no info on using In-Reply-To with the mail command, and others may benefit if it is here.

comment How do I check if dovecot is being used?
Troubleshooting a server that hasn't had much attention in a few years, and suffered a power outage recently. It is hard to say what should or should not be running on it until something breaks. No mentions in 1 month of logs is reassuring enough for me. Thanks for your help!

Unpacking and writing to a CD will also give different results to writing an ISO directly to CD.
