comment Windows Server 2003 - checking TS sessions (remote desktop client)
Thanks for the followup. Particularly about the option to permit one session per user. I never thought to look for something like that.

comment Password Manager that allows syncing accross platforms
I love Lastpass as well. They're coming out with an iPhone version. And support for native OS password entry (outside of the browser). It currently works via addins but also bookmarklets. And they have a standalone app. And you can share passwords with others without sharing the actual password (I use this with my wife for common accounts). And they're adding Yubikey support. Long list. The auto-login feature is killer.

comment How to remote a single application, rather than the entire desktop
The Mac OS is based on BSD, and not Linux. And with this we're only talking about the lowest levels. On top, especially the GUI, the Mac does not use a client/server model. Mac GUI remoting is done through a brute force copy-bits method (VNC variant). Very inefficient compared to something like X or even MS's RDP, which are tied directly into the rendering system for optimal remoting.

comment How can I get end-user Ghost running on servers?
No, I meant exactly what I said in my question. I want to get Ghost running on Server. I'm happy with what it does and trust it and want the exact same thing on our servers. Did you review the EULA for Ghost? I did. It does not prohibit this kind of thing. Even if it does, that's something we can discuss. Your immediate leap to insinuating I'm promoting warez was unnecessary to say the least.

Acronis offers nothing for us over what Ghost 14 provides for $80. Looks like a great product but we just don't have the cash.

comment What causes Vista to trigger startup of processes on wifi enabled?
It's disappointing that the only solution is to prevent the system from running mobsync.exe via permissions. I think the extra confusion would make it not worth the gain in performance when plugging in a USB drive. But thank you for the link.
