Sr Applications Developer @ jp2code.net
Years ago, I left home and joined the United States Marine Corps where I was assigned the Military Occupational Specialty of Basic Metal Worker (MOS 1316). I loved building things as a welder, but could not see myself doing this until I reached age 65.
After my Honorable Discharge in the early 1990s, I used my G.I. Bill to go to school and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics four years later.
Using a love of computers since I played on a Commodore 64 at 10 years old and two (2) C++ electives that I had taken in school, I began working in the computer programming field.
The recession following ENRON in 2001 left me working at a remedial job for a little over two years while I brushed up on my skills at a local community college in SQL and first learned what the new .NET Framework was all about.
I have had the pleasure of working as a Software Developer since 2003.
For a short while, I pulled in a little extra income by running a moonlighting business under the name Joe's Welding. Dangerous working conditions and non-paying customers prompted me to sell my mobile welding equipment about the time my son was born.
Today, I am exclusively a Software Developer. My language of choice is C#, and I enjoy working with databases.
Where I am not known by my code, I am known by my motorcycle: I am one of the few riders who loves the Harley-Davidson XR1200. Pictures of my modified XR are posted on websites around the world, and I go by the screen name JoeP on the XR1200 Owner's Group.

Expired Certificates and Active Directory Authentication Any other ideas? I still get locked out daily. I can add that Outlook keeps poping up a Security Alert saying our Exchange Server has an invalid security certificate. I wonder if that could be causing this. |

Expired Certificates and Active Directory Authentication All of our mappings are controlled by a script in the Group Policy. However, I see one that has a Red X on it, so I disconnected from that. It'll reconnect the next time I log in, though. Fingers crossed! |

Expired Certificates and Active Directory Authentication Is there any more info I can add to help figure this out? |

Expired Certificates and Active Directory Authentication LOL - you're right. I thought it said 2013, not 2113. The Token Signing Public Key is still expired, though. |

Expired Certificates and Active Directory Authentication Multiple Services under Computer Management, all are logged on as either Local Service, Local System, or Network Service. Which one am I? Local Service? The Local Service shows a Password and a Confirm password, but the current data is hidden (naturally). |

How do I remotely check for Microsoft .NET Framework 4? I'm a PowerShell Noobie, you suggested PowerShell, so... My error is Parameter 'ComputerName' can not be null or empty. For PC named ENG-CLARK, do I simply paste that into the $ComputerName parameter? |

How do I remotely check for Microsoft .NET Framework 4? We have an old 2000 server. It is supposed to push stuff out, but it doesn't always happen. ...or rarely seems to work as it should for large files like "the framework". I am not involved in the push configurations; I was simply tasked with going out to all of these 200 PCs to see if the push made it to them. |
