@Matt just because Facebook/Amazon can't do it doesn't mean a smaller site can't do it. A lot of large websites face much harder problems to overcome than a smaller site.

Google Apps if you don't want to host it yourself (1000s of barely used emails will hardly make a dent in a server)

Yes, I have it scan the Apache error logs for any "w00tw00t" IPs and add them if they don't exist, though for simplicity I didn't add the check for duplicates.
