Installing mod_proxy for apache on Gentoo That was a one-time command. You might want to set the APACHE2_MODULES variable in your make.conf file so that it doesn't get lost when you upgrade. |

Best way to create an SVN-Mirror? +1 for the observation that svnsync cannot get out of order, the only problem is the potential latency. |

How can I switch an existing set of Subversion repositories to use ActiveDirectory? (svnserve/windows) +1 for this question. It's something that I keep wanting to find an answer to and failing. Most people seem find apache acceptable (usually in visualsvn form). But it's a pain if you've already got a lot of svn:// references. And it just feels better to me to run svnserve for repository access rather than apache. |

How to create a global svn hook? This is one of the problems of multiple repositories - multiple things to maintain. Not a huge problem, but you do have to consider it. Are you handling backups and authentication properly as well? |

How should I securely wipe data from a hard drive? ... after overwriting with zeros, otherwise there's huge areas of data still left on there ... if you're that paranoid. |
