I don't believe so. I'm assuming you're using iis and my Apache and you checked usjng that website. And you're sure you have the exact right registry key?

reboot not necessary on Windows Server 2012 at least. you can verify before and after at poodlebleed.com by entering your URL and 443 for SSL port

@MandeepJanjua best answer! I'm flattered :-) (even though all answers on this question are mine)

comment Understanding XP users accessing a UCC certificate on IIS8
so why do we need SNI? do you think I was right in assuming that the first matching site for the IP serves the SSL certificate - and this works for the second site only because it is a UCC certificate

comment How can I find where a tombstone file is pointing to?
Junction will show 'UNKNOWN MICROSOFT REPARSE POINT' if the drive is missing (I have Windows Home Server and I'm pulling out each drive in turn and see this for every file)

comment AppFabric error while Set Caching Service configuration
I wish they would explain why somewhere? AppFabric is free so I don't see how it's got anything to do with licensing. UNC shares for a single machine to reference itself just seems icky

Here's how to unlock the account if you have this problem - I'd recommend solution #2 - support.microsoft.com/kb/970207

comment SQL Server restore a backup results in an error
It's important to check if you have SqlExpress installed (you may have it installed without realizing you have it). It is very easy to log into SqlExpress by mistake and then panic because it won't let you restore a 2008 database to it. This is probably a very common reason for getting this error.

comment Dedicated Web Server: Dual Core 3.0GHz Verses Quad Core 2.4GHz
I don't think it implies one single thread can be processed at 9.6GHz. Thats exactly why i put 'power' in quotes :-) We're talking a webserver here - and since when does a webserver do its work in one thread anyway. This is about mathematical 'averages'

comment Easiest way to configure local SMTP server to relay through gmail on Windows?
right - basically its about speed. it takes a few ms to send to my local server vs. up to 2-3 seconds to send to gmail - which may even fail
